Trailer mechanic

What you will do:

As a trailer mechanic, you will maintain, repair and overhaul different types of trailers. You will work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, ensuring trailers are safe and roadworthy.

Main responsibilities:

• Repair and maintain trailers, including bodywork and straightening
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Perform brake overhauls and work on air systems and trailer lighting
• Carry out MOT-related repairs and prepare trailers for inspections
• Weld and construct parts and maintain workshop machinery
• Perform final quality checks to ensure safety standards are met

What competencies do you need?

• At least 2.5 years of experience as a trailer, heavy machine or car mechanic
• Skills in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and basic welding
• Medium level of English or better
• Flexibility to work in shifts
• C-E driving licence is an advantage
